Estonia’s producer prices increased by 3.3% year-on-year in August 2026, easing slightly from 3.5% in July. Price growth moderated in mining and quarrying, slowing to 3.4% from 4.7% in the previous month. In contrast, prices in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning swung sharply lower, falling by 13.8% after an 8.4% increase in July.
Manufacturing producer prices, however, accelerated to 4.8% from 3.5%, supported by higher prices for beverages; leather and related products; wood and wood products; paper and paper products; coke and refined petroleum products; chemicals and chemical products; basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations; other non-metallic mineral products; fabricated metal products (excluding machinery and equipment); and machinery and equipment n.e.c. Costs in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation activities were stable at 3.4%.
On a monthly basis, producer prices rose by 1.4% in August, rebounding from a 0.6% decline in July.
