Slovenia’s producer prices rose by 3.5% year-on-year in August 2026, up from 3.4% in July, reaching their highest level since July 2023. Prices increased in manufacturing (3.7% vs 3.5% in July), with notable gains in textiles, wearing apparel, paper and paper products, coke and refined petroleum products, chemicals and chemical products, and basic metals. Price growth also accelerated in mining and quarrying (8.4% vs 7.4%).
By contrast, price growth slowed in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (1.9% vs 2.1%), while deflation in water supply remained unchanged at 4.0%.
Among the main industrial groupings, prices rose for energy (2.6% vs 2.0%) and intermediate goods (5.8% vs 5.1%). Meanwhile, price increases eased for capital goods (2.4% vs 2.8%) and consumer goods (1.0% vs 1.4%).
On a monthly basis, producer prices were up 0.3% in August, slowing from a 0.7% rise in July and marking the weakest monthly gain since March.
