US stock index futures were little changed on Tuesday, following a strong start to the week that was driven largely by technology and artificial intelligence shares. Sentiment was further supported by a pullback in oil prices and a decline in Treasury yields, which helped ease worries about persistent inflationary pressures. At the same time, officials voiced optimism ahead of this week’s summit between Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping.
In Monday’s regular session, the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite jumped 2.26% to a record closing high, while the S&P 500 gained 1.49% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.71%. Among notable movers, Meta climbed 11.3% amid renewed enthusiasm for its AI platform, Muse. The rally extended to semiconductor names, with AMD and Intel advancing 10% and 12.1%, respectively. Looking ahead, investors are awaiting fresh earnings from AutoZone and KB Home on Tuesday, as well as remarks from Federal Reserve officials.
