In Hong Kong, technology counters remained in the spotlight, taking their cue from a positive lead on Wall Street. Investors also kept a close watch on developments ahead of the anticipated meeting later this week between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The city’s IPO market stayed active. Ligent Technologies was set to debut on Tuesday, with an IPO price of up to HK$32.96 per share. Meanwhile, RoboTechnik, Kinwong Electronic, Red Avenue New Materials and Direct Drive Tech are seeking to raise a combined total of up to US$1.83 billion, underscoring the continued robustness of Hong Kong’s equity capital market.
Among notable movers, Tencent rose 5.4%, MiniMax added 2.2%, SMIC advanced 1.4%, Lenovo climbed 1.2%, and Kingboard Laminates edged up 0.3%.
