Domestically, investor attention centered on the National Stock Exchange IPO, which attracted more than $10 billion in bids and was subscribed 5.71 times; the stock is scheduled to list on Thursday.
In corporate moves, Coal India advanced about 1.8% after Morgan Stanley upgraded the stock to “overweight,” citing an improved earnings outlook. Pace Digitek surged 9.6% following a 4.88 billion-rupee order win from an NTPC unit. In contrast, technology shares came under pressure, with Infosys (-1.0%), LTM (-3.4%), and Coforge (-0.7%) leading the sector’s declines.
