Peso Bulls Retreat as CFTC Net Long MXN Positions Drop Sharply to 10.7K

Speculative appetite for the Mexican peso has cooled markedly, according to the latest Commitments of Traders data. Net speculative positions in MXN futures and options, as reported by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), declined to 10.7K contracts, down from a previous level of 52.4K.

The sharp pullback in net long positions suggests investors have scaled back bullish peso bets, pointing to a more cautious stance toward Mexico’s currency.
