Colombia’s Consumer Confidence Index edged up by 0.2 percentage points month-on-month in September 2026, reaching a balance of 15.7%. This modest gain occurred despite a 3.1 percentage point drop in the Economic Conditions Index, which declined to 1.7%. Consumers’ evaluations of their households’ current economic situation worsened notably, falling to -4.8% from 5.4%. In contrast, their willingness to buy durable goods improved, rising to 8.1% from 4.2%.
The overall index was bolstered by a 2.5 percentage point increase in the Consumer Expectations Index, which climbed to 25.1%. Expectations for the general economic outlook improved, with the corresponding indicator up to 21.3% from 16.7%. Perceptions of the country’s future economic conditions also strengthened, increasing to 21.3% from 16.7%. However, expectations regarding households’ own future economic situation softened, slipping to 34.1% from 36.4%.
