US stock futures inched higher on Tuesday, extending gains after the major indexes started the week on a positive note, buoyed by a rebound in technology shares. Futures linked to the Dow Jones Industrial Average, S&P 500, and Nasdaq 100 each rose at least 0.1%.
In Monday’s regular session, the S&P 500 climbed 0.41% and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 1.11%, recovering from last week’s sharp selloff driven by mounting concerns over AI-related financing. Chipmakers and other mega-cap growth stocks led the rebound: Micron added 3%, Nvidia gained 1.4%, Sandisk jumped 5.5%, Amazon rose 5%, and Tesla increased 3.8%.
Investors are now bracing for a busy corporate earnings lineup on Tuesday, with results due from General Electric, Netflix, Raytheon Technologies, United Airlines, General Motors, and others. On the economic front, traders will also be watching data on housing starts and pending home sales for further insight into the health of the US housing market.
