On Monday, the US stock indexes rose, herewith, Dow Jones Industrial Average index has reached the highest closing level for this year. The shares of Caterpillar, American Express and some other companies ticked up, which are due to present their earnings reports for the third quater this week. By the end of the trading Dow Jones Industrial Average index advanced on Monday by 96,28 points or by 0,96% to 10092,19 points closing at the high of October 03, 2008. Standard & Poor\'s 500 rallied by 10,23 points or by 0,94% to 1097,91 points and closed at the peak of October 03 as well as Dow index. Gannett shares jumped by 1,06 dollars or by 8,2% to 14,06 dollars. The company\'s profit fell by 53% in the third quater, higher than the forecasts. Nasdaq Composite moved up by 19,52 points or by 0,91% to 2176,32 points closing the session at the maximum from September 26, 2008.
Meanwhile, Caterpillar shares became more expensive by 3,28 dollars or by 6% to 57,85 dollars. This company will release its earnings report on Tuesday. American Express shares strengthened by 79 cents or by 2,3% to 3,74 dollars. American Express is to issue its income data for the third quater on Thursday.
