Coronavirus cases in the United States is gaining momentum

Coronavirus cases in the United States is gaining momentum

The number of cases in the United States has been growing in the last few weeks. It should be recalled that this is not the first news that any country has faced a new wave of the pandemic. In the last few weeks, at least, the UK and several European countries have faced a new wave. And in some countries, like India, it seems that the previous wave has not yet been completed. However, vaccination of the entire population continues at a high rate in the States. That, however, does not prevent medical experts from stating that the rate of vaccination has decreased, and the country is on the verge of a new wave of the pandemic. In many public places, they continue to ask to wear medical masks to prevent mass infection. Most of the new cases of the disease occur in the delta variant and in those people who have not been vaccinated. Thus, the US authorities are asking everyone who has not yet been vaccinated to be sure to get both doses of vaccination.

At the moment, only 56% of Americans have received at least one dose of the vaccine, which is not very much for 560 million Americans. That is, several hundred million people across the country can become infected with any strain of the coronavirus at any time. Thus, the States are really at risk. In America, the concept of a "pandemic of the unvaccinated" has already appeared. In addition, the country's chief epidemiologist Anthony Fauci said that those who have received vaccinations no longer need to wear masks in public places, as the authorities of some states are forced to do. He also noted that people with especially weakened immune systems may need to receive a third vaccination against coronavirus. We are talking about people who have undergone serious surgery or have serious chronic diseases or cancer. President Joe Biden also spoke about the "pandemic of the unvaccinated" during a speech on CNN. "If you are vaccinated, you will not be hospitalized, you will not be in the IC unit and you will not die," the US president said. Biden also noted that scientists are conducting relevant studies and children under 12 will be able to be vaccinated in the near future. The presidential administration also reported that by July 4, about 70% of the adult population of the United States could have been vaccinated with at least one vaccination. However, not all Americans want to get vaccinated, and this is a problem. In the near future, it will be necessary to closely monitor the spread of the virus in the United States, since the States remain in first place in the world (according to the website of Johns Hopkins University) in the total number of cases and deaths from COVID-19.
