Thus, the Hong Kong Hang Seng Index added 1.37%, other indices – slightly less: the Nikkei 225 index of the Japanese stock exchange increased by 0.06%, the Korean KOSPI – by 0.31%, and the Australian S&P/ASX 200 – by 0.35%. Today is a holiday on the Chinese stock exchanges.
Investors' optimism is primarily associated with an increase in US stock indicators. Thanks to positive statistics on unemployment, US stock exchanges showed growth at the close of trading at the end of last week. Experts predict that soon the US Federal Reserve will decide on another increase in the interest rate.
The Chinese authorities intend to cancel the requirements for the inspection of Chinese companies that operate abroad by the regulatory authorities of the People's Republic of China. Also, American regulatory authorities will be able to get access to inspect their companies based in China. Thus, it is planned to establish international cooperation between China and the United States in the field of company regulation, which will include joint inspections and help protect the rights and interests of investors.
On this news, the value of securities of companies from China has significantly increased. So, the papers JD.com Inc. rose by 5.6%, Netease Inc. – by 4.4%, Alibaba Group Holding, Ltd. – by 2.1%.
Thanks to obtaining permission to conduct vaccination tests from COVID-19, the value of shares of CSPC Pharmaceutical Group, Ltd. increased by 5.7% and CanSino Biologics Inc. by 5.1%.
Thanks to the upcoming major merger deal of Hypebeast, Ltd. with SPAC, which will eventually contribute to obtaining a listing on the NASDAQ exchange, the value of Hypebeast, Ltd. securities increased by 50% at once.
Among the companies included in the calculation of the Japanese Nikkei 225 index, Astellas Pharma Inc., (+4.1%), SoftBank Group Corp. (+3.5%), and M3 Inc. (+3.5%) stood out. At the same time, the value of securities of Tokyo Electron, Ltd. decreased by 2.5%, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. – by 2%, Mazda Motor Corp. – also by 2%.
The capitalization of the Korean company SBW Inc. increased by 30% due to the announcement of its intention to acquire the car manufacturer SsangYong Motor Co. and develop in this direction.
The securities of other major Korean companies have lost in price: LG Corp. (-1,3%) , Kia Corp. (-0,8%). The stock quotes of Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd. showed a slight increase (by 0.6%).
Among the companies on the basis of which the S&P/ASX 200 indicator is calculated, the rise in price of securities was shown by BHP Group, Ltd. (+0.2%) and Rio Tinto Ltd. (+0.17%).
