Trading Signals for GBP/USD for December 14-15, 2023: sell below 1.2760 (8/8 Murray - monthly resistance)

Trading Signals for GBP/USD for December 14-15, 2023: sell below 1.2760 (8/8 Murray - monthly resistance)

Early in the US session, the British pound is trading around 1.2695, above 8/8 Murray and showing a strong uptrend, which we expect could reach the monthly resistance zone of around 1.2760.

At current price levels, we expect GBP/USD to continue buying as 8/8 Murray represents a strong key level. Now we see a consolidation which could push the British pound to reach +1/8 Murray at 1.2817 in the coming days.

Because the eagle indicator has been giving a positive signal since December 8, we could expect a technical correction in the coming hours. The British pound is signalling a strong bullish move and we should expect strength exhaustion to occur on the H4 chart in the form of Dojis. Besides, short body candlesticks around 1.2760 could give us the opportunity to sell with targets at 1.2695 and 1.2635.

As the British pound trades above the 200 EMA and above the 21 SMA located at 1.2580 on the H4 chart and as long as GBP/USD trades above this area, any technical correction will be seen as an opportunity to buy with the target in the short term until reaching the level of 1.30.

Our trading plan for the next hours is to buy at the current price level of 1.2695 with the target at 1.2760 or sell below this zone if it reaches 1.2750- 1.2760 with the target at 1.2645. The eagle indicator is giving a bullish signal, but we should wait for a correction to resume buying.
