Gold is trading around $4,147, below the 21-day SMA at $4,154, and has been showing a negative signal since the start of this week's session.
Gold could continue to fall in the coming days until it reaches the 0/8 Murray level around $4,162, and could even reach the lower band of the downtrend channel around the psychological level of $4,000.
If the price of gold consolidates above the 1/8 Murray level around $4,140, we could expect it to continue rebounding in the coming days and could even break decisively out of the downtrend channel.
If, in the coming days, gold consolidates above the 21 SMA, breaks above $4,180, and consolidates above this zone, it could be considered a positive signal to buy, with targets at $4,230 and $4,279—where a gap was left in September—and it could ultimately reach the 3/8 Murray level around $4,295.
The Eagle indicator is showing overbought signals, so technically, gold is expected to continue falling in the coming days. Therefore, if a technical rebound occurs in the coming days and it once again reaches the upper band of the downtrend channel, this could be seen as a signal to sell below $4,180, with targets at $4,062.
The outlook for gold remains bearish as long as the price stays below the 2/8 Murray line. If we look at the chart, the price has been under downward pressure since late September, and this could be seen as a signal to continue selling in the coming days.
