As a result of Wednesday\'s trades at the American stock market, stock indices closed in a positive area despite a weak opening on the background of large-scale collapse of shares in China.
Dow Jones Industrial Average grew by 62 points to 9279. Nasdaq closed higher by 13 points at the level of 1969 and S&P 500 rose by 7 pips to 997.
Crude oil prices and energy sector stocks increased after the U.S. Department of Energy reported that oil resources fell by 8.4 million barrels last week, which was a surprise for market participants who were waiting for the continuation of reserves growth. Totally, Chevron and Exxon Mobil stocks grew by 1,8% and 2,3% respectively.
Concerning the financial data reporting of companies, the shares of Hewlett-Packard had fallen after the company reported about a 19% decline of quarterly receipts. Although the Executive General manager Mark Heard announced that the company\'s state is being flattened out, revenues in Asia are growing, but traders are concerned about the low sales level in Europe and sustained growth.
Deere stocks prices had declined after the company reported about its profit predictions for the year, which was in line with Wall Street expectations.
Alcoa shares had dropped after Goldman Sachs changed stock status from «buy» to «flat», because the fundamental data at the aluminium market are weak.
Merck stocks had risen by 2,5% after the Court approved the company\'s patent for the Singulair medicine.
