According to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), legendary investor Warren Buffett has got rid of half of his Apple shares.
Another source also reported that Berkshire Hathaway, the holding company owned by the outstanding investor, slashed its stake in Apple Inc. by about 49%. However, Warren Buffett still holds a stake worth $84.2 billion.
To recap, in the first quarter of 2024, Berkshire Hathaway once again reduced its investments in Apple. Official data shows that the value of the iPhone maker’s shares in the portfolio decreased to $135.4 billion.
In mid-summer, Apple announced its plans to begin manufacturing new flagship smartphones beyond China. The high-tech heavyweight is expected to start producing the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max in India.
