Peter Navarro believes the verdict issued by the Court of Appeals casts doubt on the entire foreign economic agenda of the White House administration. He described such a decision as the worst form of partisan injustice. Navarro considers that the outcome of this issue will be crucial for America’s future. If the case is lost, he maintains, President Trump will be proven right, and this would mean the end of the United States.
Previously, commenting on the Appeals Court’s decision, Donald Trump stated that, without import tariffs, the American economy could have been completely destroyed. He believes that a strict customs policy can bring the US budget additional trillions of dollars. Such a massive influx of funds could help resolve the growing federal deficit, according to the head of the White House. However, Trump has also stressed that, if the tariffs are declared illegal, the United States’ GDP might lose up to $15 trillion in investment.
