Fed's Warsh divests portfolio to avoid conflicts

Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh has completed the sale of all financial holdings covered under his ethics agreement with the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), according to official documents released Saturday. Warsh signed the final compliance certificate on Thursday. The central bank chief, who took office in May, had already liquidated the bulk of his portfolio earlier, and the latest disclosure confirms the final fulfillment of all commitments.

Warsh ranks among the wealthiest Fed chairs in the central bank's history. As part of his confirmation process, he pledged to sell stakes in several major investment vehicles. Details of those holdings, including private investments valued at no less than $100 million, were withheld under confidentiality agreements. The full divestiture of his personal assets was a key condition for eliminating potential conflicts of interest while leading the regulator.
