Saudi Aramco has officially reassured European refiners that they will receive their requested crude volumes in November after restoring the kingdom’s main interregional East‑West pipeline, which was damaged in recent attacks. At least three large European refineries have already confirmed a return to scheduled shipments, the company said.
The restoration of Saudi flows should end the scramble that gripped the European market. Last month, Riyadh warned customers that pipeline damage could leave them without shipments in October, forcing local plants to scramble for alternative feedstock.
Poland’s Orlen SA was among the most exposed. To avoid production outages, the region’s largest buyer of Saudi crude was forced to launch more than ten emergency tenders to secure replacement cargoes. According to vessel‑tracking systems, Saudi Arabia is now reverting to its usual export volumes to Europe of roughly 700,000–800,000 barrels per day.
