Deutsche Welle reports that Germany’s Economics Minister Sigmar Gabriel and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron reached an accord on “an economic schengen” between the countries.
After the meeting in Paris on November 27, Mr. Gabriel defined the idea of the economic schengen agreement as remarkable. Macron stated that the both sides need massive economic convergence.
Prior to the bilateral talks, advisors recommended Germany and France to develop policy documents (laws and rules) aiming to reach collective goals. Besides, appropriate agencies are to be founded to implement energy programs as well as economic and educational projects.
