Six oil transport operators met in Prague and signed a quadruple memorandum on the creation of an Association of European oil transport companies. The Association includes Transneft (Russia), Transpetrol (Slovakia), Gomeltransneft Druzhba (Belarus), Przyjazn (Poland), MOL (Hungary), and MERO CR (Czech Republic). The corresponding document was signed on December 11, 2014. That was stated on the Russian company's website.
As noted by Transneft president adviser Igor Denim, the Association creation was initiated by the Czech Republic.
The company announced that the Association, or the so-called European Pipeline Club, will be a discussion platform for pipeline companies in Europe and Kazakhstan.
The club was formed to coordinate more efficient development of oil transport systems of companies from member-countries. The Association also aims to enhance the stability of international oil transport.
The members of the club expect companies operating pipeline networks in Poland, Germany and Kazakhstan will join them in the future.
