EIB to budget €600 million to Ukraine

The Ukrainian government signed two agreements on credits with the European Investment Bank (EIB). The first loan equals €400 million (for development of small business), the second – to €200 million (for country's recovery), the Russian News Agency TASS says.
The EIB already provided financial help to Kiev in the amount of €310 million in 2014. In addition, on April 30 the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved the stabilization program stand by under which Kiev will get $17 billion in two years.
On December 18 president of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Junker said that the European Union no longer had budget possibilities to support Ukraine.
On December 3 the EU budgeted €500 million to Ukraine which was preceded by tranches for a total amount of €860 million. The EU intends to channel another €250 million to Ukraine in 2015.
Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev noticed that after collapse of the Soviet Union the economy of independent Ukraine was mostly formed by Russia. Now Ukraine has to survive the second “90s” as the country's economy is pressed by the external debt that will exceed the GDP volume at the end of the current year. In this situation even the EU is of no use to Ukraine, the premier believes.
