South Korea’s Samsung, a smartphone producer, finally announced the long-awaited Galaxy A7. The main feature of the new model is its size: the A7 is the slimmest Galaxy handset. According to an official press release, the Samsung Galaxy A7 measures 151x76.2x6.3mm and weighs 141 grams. It is one of Samsung’s most stylish models thanks to a metal frame, which is featured by the Galaxy A3 and A5 phones as well. It has a large 5.5-inch 720 x 1280 display with full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution. Only the Samsung Galaxy S5 flagship has the same parameters. The previous handsets - A3 and A5 - are of lower resolution. However, the A7 is actually a bit of a step back from the S5 model.
It has a powerful octa-core processor with four cores clocked at 1.8GHz and the other four at 1.3GHz, so it can switch between them depending on how much power it needs, conserving battery life by using the slower cores when extra power isn’t needed.
It has a good 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing one.
It also has modes allowing you to take a photo with a voice command or by waving your hand.
There’s 16GB of storage, along with a microSD card slot for cards of up to 64GB.
Comparing the mid-range newbie Galaxy A7 to the S5 veteran flagship, we would say that they both deliver a stylish, premium build. Of course, the latest model is less powerful and not a high-end handset, but it has a metal rim and smaller size. It is available in white, black, and gold colors.
