Sweden’s capital city hosted a fashion show McWalk. The first two letters remind us of the world-famous fast food chain McDonald’s. Indeed, the world’s largest hamburger chain has launched its own clothing and lifestyle line. Now Big Mac fans in Sweden can wear hamburger-themed fashion outfit and use household appliances. Sweden-based branch of McDonald’s stated that the new collection was a big success. Meanwhile, McDonald’s rolled out the following fashion articles: T-shirts, raincoats, underwear, wellington boots, and even jackets for dogs. All items incorporate the fast food chain’s logo, colors, and all-over prints of a Big Mac. Clothes are designed both for men and women. Besides, a homeware line includes bed sheets and wallpaper. According to the information posted on the official website of Big Mac Shop, the whole assortment of articles will be available at retail shops and online only in Sweden. Importantly, McDonald’s aesthetic was borrowed by fashion designer Jeremy Scott who used it in his Moschino line. So, designer clothes are rather expensive ranging from 399 to 495 Swedish kronor (starting from €45). The idea to create such a collection emerged as part of “I’m loving it 24” marketing campaign which involved 24 McDonald's-themed stunts in 24 cities over 24 hours. Profits from the McFashion pieces will contribute to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
