Due to the difficult economic situation, the Ukrainian government seeks any opportunity to improve the budget and give work to the local enterprises. An agreement with Turkey on launching a space program worth billions dollars is a successful step towards solving this problem. During briefing in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced the agreement between Kiev and Ankara, thus starting the further development of this issue. At present moment, no details of this program are unveiled. However, it can be said for sure that the participation in this project will provide a series of Ukrainian companies with orders and work. "A Turkish delegation has just left. We have agreed on a space program worth billions of dollars. Not every detail could be disclosed now," the president said. Besides, he promised to put the program fulfillment under the presidential control, thus supporting it by the administrative source. Moreover, the president noted that enterprises will be carefully chosen for participation in the program. He added that the company should either be able to "stand competition or let the others do that." Besides, at the meeting, the Turkish authorities approved Ukraine’s inquiry for credit of $50 million that will be channeled to cover budget deficit. Leaders of the two countries reached an agreement on many issues. The success of the meeting between Petro Poroshenko and Recep Tayyip Erdogan is also confirmed by the fact that it lasted two hours longer than it was planned.
