Those who disagree with the European Central Bank policy express their position in different ways. Most impetuous protesters even resort to measures of physical coercion. At a press conference after the European Central Bank's latest monetary-policy meeting, one of the opponents of "the ECB dictatorship" attacked Mario Draghi. According to eyewitness reports, the attack was carefully planned and carried out by professionals. This is evidenced by the fact that an inconspicuous young lady was chosen to perform the act of protest. However, on the video it is clear that actions are well-thought-out, and some training took place. The protester managed to skip briefly a close watch and jumped on the table in front of the ECB president Mario Draghi. Then she began to throw confetti yelling a provocative slogan "end the ECB dictatorship." Thanks to security staff actions, Mario Draghi was not injured during the attack. After the attack fallout was dealt with, the press conference and the dictatorship of the ECB were continued. Participants learned that the risks to the economies of the euro area are more balanced now, but Mario Draghi said that the ECB risks associated with Greece came in at €110 billion. The European Central Bank kept its benchmark interest rate at a record low of 0.05 percent and the deposit rate, at minus 0.2 percent.
