A financial war is not over. New players were targeted in a new round of mutual sanctions that Russia and the US together with the European Union impose against each other. The US authorities decided to go further updating the Specially Designated Nationals List and the Sectoral Sanctions Identifications List. The revised version was published on the official website of the US Department of the Treasury. The list was broadened to include JSC Izhevsky Mekhanichesky Zavod, OJSC Kontsern Izhmash; commercial and trading sea ports of Evpatoriya, Feodosia, Kerch, Sevastopol, and Yalta; State Shipping Company Kertch Sea Ferry, OJSC North Caucasus Development Corporation, OJSC The Far East and Baikal Region Development Fund, and 16 subsidiaries of Rosneft Oil Company. Several Vnesheconombank's subsidiaries were also put on the US sectoral sanctions list. As for individuals, the following persons were sanctioned: Russian businessman Roman Rotenberg as well as some Ukrainian citizens such as ex-Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Eduard Stavytsky, Sergey Kurchenco, Oleksandr Yanukovych (the son of Ukrainian ex-President Viktor Yanukovych), and Andriy Kluyev, one of the ex-leaders of the Party of Regions. Experts have no doubt that Russia will give an immediate response. In the nearest term, we will see what will be the Russian answer to the new portion of sanctions.
