The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kirov region launched a case for Apple stylized graphics (smileys) that violate the Russian law, according to the local police authorities.
Earlier the complaints were made about propaganda of the LGBT-community by the corporation, but it is the first time when an investigation was launched.
The lawyer Yaroslav Mikhailov, who initiated the investigation, claimed smileys to be LGBT propaganda and applied to the corresponding authorities.
For the time being, the smileys are under expert examination, and if the allegations are proved, then the iPhone and iPad manufacturer will have to pay 1 million rubles in fines or suspend operations all over Russia.
