Apple, the world’s biggest maker of computers, tablets and smartphones, has kept its title as the most valuable brand in 2015. However, Google and Microsoft grew to significantly close the gap between them and the global tech giant from the city of Cupertino.
In early 2015 Apple’s market capitalization totaled $640 billion, while in the spring it was $750 billion. Later the brand’s value fell to $600 billion due to investors’ concerns over possible short-term demand for a brand-new iPhone.
This particular slump made it possible for Google to come close on the heels of Apple. Last year Google’s stock rose 45% putting its market capitalization to $530 billion and making the company a formidable No. 2 in the standings for the first time.
