Shanghai and London exchanges reported that preliminary agreement to connect the stocks had been reached.
The SSE and the LSE are willing to create a co-operation framework for a planned stock-trading link. It was reported by Reuters this week.
In an announcement made on the official Chinese exchange’s blog, the Shanghai Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange need to research different stock connect schemes.
The initial plans to link two exchanges were supported by the governments of both countries – Great Britain and China. In September 2015 British and Chinese governments announced that the enquiries were sent to the main offices of the LSE and SSE.
