Presidential election is usually the time for big promises and loud statements as well as scandals and intrigues. And if the election takes place in the United States, be sure to witness a dazzling performance. The parties determined their candidates, the first stages are over, and now the final race is coming. The candidates try to perform louder and brighter to make people vote for them.
And Donald Trump, a Republican presidential nominee, leaves the strongest impression. The GOP front-runner is a master of sharp verbal attacks; he stands out against other candidates. He generously gives outstanding election pledges; he even said he would replace Federal Reserve Chairperson Janet Yellen in particular. In his interview to Fortune, he said he would rather appoint someone else as Fed Chair in case he wins the election.
Trump does not doubt Yellen’s professional skills, but he does not like her political stance. “I think she's been doing her job, and I have absolutely nothing against her. I don't know her. She's a very capable person. People I know have a high regard for her. But she's not a Republican,” Trump said. Yellen’s term ends in February 2018.
