When it comes to records based on numbers, in most cases, China is ahead of the rest of the world. It is not surprising if we bear in mind China’s population. In 2016 the country became the absolute world leader in the production of cars.
Thus, according to the report of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, China ranked first in the number of produced cars by the end of the previous year. In 2016, China’s car production increased by 3.5 percent. In total, China produced 14,510,277 cars in 2016.
Experts took into account not only cars produced in China but also vehicles made on the Chinese plants worldwide: 1.282 million cars were assembled on plants in France, 1.3 million in Great Britain, and 4.3 million cars in Germany. The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers also noted significant growth in production of cars in Spain and Italy this year: 8.4 percent and 8.8 percent, respectively. Hungarian and Romanian car production, on the contrary, slowed down, showing a negative trend.
