Donald Trump got used to an endless criticism since the first day of his office. Every decision, to say nothing about new US President’s statements, becomes a target of various acrid remarks and negative comments. Yet another insult was thrown by billionaire investor George Soros.
The well-known financier has severely criticized the policy pursued by the new Presidential Administration. Mr Soros is sure that Trump’s presidential term turns out to be an economic disaster for the United States. And, as commonly done in such cases, Mr Soros proved his theory with money. Billionaire investor bets $500 million on the US collapse. Mr Soros pulls no punches and views Donald Trump as an "impostor and con man and a would-be dictator".
“I personally am convinced that [Mr Trump] is going to fail," Mr Soros said. "Not because of people like me who would like him to fail, but because the ideas that guide him are inherently self-contradictory."
Interestingly, the billionaire investor reiterates the same opinion as he said last year when Donald Trump won the Presidential election. To prove his words, Mr Soros bet $500 million that the US stock market would suffer dramatic effects.
