Russia’s oil exports rise by 3.9%

In the January-March period, Russian oil exports to far abroad countries rose by 3.9% to 59.214 million tons (4.823 million barrels per day) on a yearly basis. That is 2.8% more than in March 2016, the Interfax news agency said.

Transneft pipelines pumped 53.785 million tons of oil to far abroad countries, 49.067 million tons of which are Russian oil, while other pipelines pumped 10.147 million tons.

Last month, Transneft pipelines delivered 18.671 tons of oil to far abroad countries, 16.951 million tons of which are oil from Russia, while other pipelines delivered 3.467 million tons.

In the first quarter of 2017, 4.869 million tons of oil was shipped from the Novorossiysk port, 12.581 million tons from the Primorsk port, 7.484 million tons from Kozmino, and 5.796 million tons from the port of Ust-Luga.

In the first quarter of 2017, Rosneft shipped 24.078 tons of oil to far abroad countries, followed by Lukoil which delivered 5.821 million tons, Surgutneftegaz (6.910 million tons), Gazpromneft (3.085 million tons), Tatneft (3.561 million tons), Bashneft (239,300 tons). In March, Rosneft delivered 8.396 million tons of oil, followed by Surgutneftegaz (2.317 million tons), Gazpromneft (1.518 million tons), while Tatneft and Bashneft shipped 1.156 million tons and 53,000 tons of oil, respectively.

During the first quarter of 2017, the rest oil companies delivered 4.525 million tons of oil to far abroad countries (1.517 million tons in March).

In the reporting period, the transit of oil from Kazakhstan totaled 3.911 million tons (1.339 million tons in March), 404,400 tons from Azerbaijan (244,600 tons in March), and 402,300 tons from Belarus (136,500 tons in March).

During the first quarter of 2017, shipments of oil from Russia to the CIS countries declined to 3.999 million tons. Meanwhile, Russia’s oil and gas condensate production increased by 0.6% in January to March to 136.161 million tons (11.090 barrels per day).
