Another reason to think about the role of money in our lives is the news about the generous gift of the famous billionaire Warren Buffett. The founder of Berkshire Hathaway donated more than $3 billion to Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The gift included 18.63 million Class B shares of Berkshire Hathaway stock, which carried a value of $170.25 each. It was not a spontaneous decision, as Buffet acted in the framework of his long-term charity strategy, which he voiced back in 2006. Then the billionaire said that he would gradually give away the majority of his fortune to charity. And he was not kidding. Since that moment, he has donated $27.54 billion to five charity organizations. Gates Foundation received about $21.9 billion.
