According to a report by Molior London, national companies built more than 6,900 units of housing in the second quarter of 2017. Thus, new home starts rose by 42% to the highest level since 2015.
Purchases of homes under construction advanced by 30% from a year before to 5,800 units in April-June 2017. However, not all Britons were lucky to become owners of new properties. The stock of unsold homes being built reached 26,600 units, marking the highest level over the past 8 years, Molior London said.
According to experts, based on current transaction rates, it will take 1.2 years to sell all newly built housing stock.
