Apple decided to explore a new business direction. This time, it is not some new technology but time-honored cinema. Whatever flat or compact screens tellies or laptops are equipped with, they are useless unless they show something. That is why catchy video content will never become out of date. Such genre as a motion picture will always be in demand.
This fact is proved by the latest decision of the biggest global corporation. Apple's management announced plans to spend $1 billion on production of TV shows. As soon as this news appeared, experts started to calculate how many projects Apple will be able to make with this sum. Thus, The Wall Street Journal estimated that $1 billion will be enough to shot 10 TV shows. This is the sum which the HBO channel, the giant of this industry owned by Time Warner and Amazon, spends on this volume of work.
Reportedly, television gurus Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg will join Apple to give their expert advice and distribute money to various projects. These guys know their business. Just two months ago, they worked at Sony where they dealt with the similar tasks. Presumably, they are really good professionals since Apple decided to headhunt them. So, Apple is going to produce its own TV shows.
