The Russians tried many strategies to make their country great: Putin's plan, modernization, nanotechnologies, etc. Now, according to Igor Bulantsev, the Vice President, Director of the Client Management Department at Sberbank CIB, Russia will become the most advanced state of the world with creation of the cryptoruble.
The Russians put their hopes not on competent and professional management, fair laws and their sound execution, social policy, education and health systems, but on the cryptoruble. "Creation of cryptoruble will make Russia one of the most progressive, advanced and technological countries. The question is in definition of rules: how it will be regulated and what it will give," Igor Bulantsev said. Frankly speaking, there is some truth in his words. Considering that for the last 17 years there has been no change for the better, there is no point to believe that the current government improves the situation. So, maybe the cryptoruble will support the Russian economy. At the same time, the Russian authorities get angry when ordinary citizens use cryptocurrencies. Bulantsev added that the purchase of digital money must be allowed only to the qualified investors on the Moscow Stock Exchange. He probably thinks that ordinary citizens must know their place, should be tested and get the status of an investor to use cryptocurrencies. However, it is assumed that the new technology will be used everywhere, including monitoring the population of the country.
First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov said blockchain technology has a far greater use than other cryptocurrencies. “Blockchain for us is not only about the ability to generate the equivalent of bank notes. It also provides a mechanism for a professional, transparent and fast public service," the minister added.
