Queen Elizabeth’s annual pay increased by $7.6 mln

The HM Treasury decided to boost the funds Queen Elizabeth II receives annually by hefty $7.6 mln, 5 mln pounds more than before.
In the 2013-2014 fiscal year, the queen will be paid 36 mln pounds, while last year she only got some 31 million.
As English mass media inform, the Chancellor of the Exchequer had long been considering a raise for the British monarch due to the high cost of maintaining Buckingham Palace, billing and paying salaries to the Queen’s staff, including royal cooks and footmen. All these expenditures make approximately 10 mln pounds a year. Moreover, the queen had not had a bump up for about 20 years. In addition, the financial crisis caused Queen Elizabeth II to spare 37 mln pounds, which is a third part of her equity. It also stands to mention that Britain’s Queen owns a spectacular personal fortune and is entitled to dividends.
