According to the Ifo Institute for Economic Research, Germany’s business climate index dropped to 115.2 in September from 115.9 in August. The indicator has been declining for the second month in a row after rising for six months.
Experts had predicted an increase to 116. The index of current conditions dropped to 123.6 from 124.7 in August with economists anticipating growth to 124.7.
The gauge of future expectations declined to 107.4 from 107.8 in August, confounding expectations for a rise to 108.
