Belarus keeps up to date and goes forward, as the President of the country Alexander Lukashenko legalizes the cryptocurrency. The head of state signed a decree according to which Belarus has every chance to become a real paradise for the cryptocurrency market participants. Now Belarusians can exchange, sell, buy, and mine virtual money. This activity will not even be considered business.
Tokens can be given and bequeathed. But you don’t have to declare income from these transactions and pay taxes until January 1, 2023. The second goal of the decree is investment in the future, i.e. IT and education. The third aim is the introduction of the latest financial instruments and technologies.
Leading economies of the world are only examining this new phenomenon. Belarus becomes actually the first state in the world to open wide opportunities for using blockchain technology, Alexander Lukashenko added.
According to experts, such step can bring the country to a new level.
The digital economy is just beginning to develop, and many major projects can be interested in unprecedented opportunities offered by Belarus. Any company working in this field can apply and become a resident of the local Park of High technologies. Alexander Lukashenko hopes that "world IT companies will come to Belarus, open their representative offices, development centers, and create a product in demand in the world."
