Sony has launched the world’s fastest Internet. Now residents of Tokyo as well as other six prefectures can use unlimited Internet, which supports download speeds of up to 2 gigabits per second for just 50$ a month.
There are no analogues for this wonder system named Nuro, but even existing fiber connections provide much lower speed. For example, the Google Fiber pilot project recently launched to U.S. Kansas City has a higher cost (120$) and a download speed of up to 1Gbps. This cost includes also Fiber-TV and Nexus 7 tablet. The Google Fiber project does not extend beyond Kansas City with population of 600,000 people. It should be noted that most computer network adapters have a limit on receiving data of 1Gbit/s, so Google speed is justified to a certain extent.
As for companies, they will like Nuro’s fiber-based services for its capabilities and rather cheap cost.
