Theresa May has ruled out holding a second referendum on leaving the European Union.
“There will be no second referendum on Brexit. We took the decision as a parliament that the British people should have their choice,” she said. However, she also pointed out that leaving the EU did not mean leaving Europe and Britain did not intend to stop partnership with the EU countries.
On January 17, the House of Commons approved the Brexit bill in the third reading. The UK will leave the European Union on March 29, 2019. The question of reviewing the results of the referendum has been raised repeatedly. Opponents of Brexit created a petition signed by millions of people. In addition, the Scottish Parliament called for a re-run of the EU referendum, but the vote was postponed indefinitely.
