State Duma Deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Rizvan Kurbanov prepared a draft bill for consideration by the State Duma on introduction of the term "cryptoruble" into the Russian Civil Code. According to Kurbanov, сryptoruble is a digital financial asset (cryptocurrency), an analogue of the ruble, that circulates on the territory of the Russian Federation, is protected by cryptographic methods and used by blockchain participants. This virtual money is a legal means of payment, which is widely used and accepted in the Russian Federation.
