US President Donald Trump continues to spring surprises for the global community. He has proven that an election winner remembers their campaign pledges and even tries to fulfill them. To see the president who really sticks to his words comes as a revelation in some countries.
After scrutinizing the steel and aluminum imports in the country, the White House concluded that dumping has almost destroyed the sphere. As Trump set the aim to make America great again, he decided to support local producers and introduced tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. Trump said a 25% tax will be put on steel imports and 10% tax will be imposed on aluminum delivered to the United States. China on its own produces as much steel in a month as the US produces in a year.
Trump suggested that those producers who do not want to pay the tariffs could move their business to the US and operate without fees.
