Once again, bitcoin has been doomed to failure. The first global cryptocurrency has been falling victim to such forecasts since it first appeared in the market. Interestingly, the number of downbeat forecasts, predicting a crash of the most popular digital money, is almost the same as the number of upbeat forecasts predicting its record surge. Experts see no golden medium: either bitcoin plummets or skyrockets. Similarly, market participants split down the middle on this issue: some of them hope for bitcoin’s triumph while others anticipate a downfall. Currently, pessimists are dominating. Bitcoin is on a losing streak. Its quotes are decreasing rapidly. Year to date, prices plunged by almost 4 times. Thus, those who predicted a crash of the virtual money can devour the sweet feeling of being right. Crypto pessimists are pretty sure that the No 1 virtual currency will be unable to return to the previous highs of 21,000 dollars and will continue sliding. Besides, experts anticipate that bitcoin quotes can hold near the area of 5,800-6,000 dollars with a possibility of a further fall. Mikhail Machshenko, an analyst at eToro, said that the current situation was caused by sellers who tried to hack the Korean cryptocurrency exchange.
