According to China's official Xinhua News Agency, North Korea's envoy delivered a letter to Chinese President Xi Jinping from Kim Jong Un. Zhang Liangui, a North Korea expert at the Communist Party's Central Party School, believes that the visit of the North Korean politician aims for one more try to damage the relations between the U.S.A. and China. In the opinion of the Chinese analysts, the North Korean Vice Marshal Choe Ryong Hae intends to arrange a summit meeting of the DPRK’s leader and China’s Communist Party officials. This meeting will show the real China's attitude to the problematic policies of North Korea. It can be considered as a sign of support to Kim Jong Un and as a wake-up call for the U.S., Japan, and South Korea. Therefore, the convening of this summit is doubtful, because China is unlikely to go for it. To get to the negotiating table of six countries, the North Korean leader has to abandon the pursuit of the nuclear weapons. However, that is impossible for now.
“The North’s provocations backfired and have pushed China and the U.S. closer together, resulting in more frequent high-level exchanges between the two countries,” added Zhang Liangui.
China is often accused of assistance to North Korea, but these charges have not been officially announced yet. The world community stays motionless waiting for Beijing decision.
