Russia's energy minister Alexander Novak plans to meet with his US counterpart Rick Perry in Moscow on Thursday to discuss operations of US companies in Russia and Russian companies in the United States.
In addition, exchange of experience between oil and gas companies of both countries as well as oil and gas market environment will be on the agenda
During the visit, US Energy Secretary Rick Perry will also meet with his colleagues from Saudi Arabia. According to the Trump administration, this meeting is crucial as Washington counts on Riyadh and Moscow in maintaining current levels of oil production.
The meeting will take place in the lead up to the re-imposition of US sanctions against Iran, experts say.
