As a more experienced player in these matters, Russia gladly agreed to help Iran to evade US sanctions. So far, the help has been announced not through the official channels, but, as they say, rumours. Israeli journalists were able to gain access to the documents of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs which contained information that Russia had offered its assistance to Iran and was ready to assist in circumventing the restrictions imposed by the United States. To solve this sensitive issue, the Russian authorities propose using Russian refineries. This plan is simple. According to it, Iran, which is threatened by a total ban on oil exports, will send black gold to its customers not directly, but through Russian refineries. This will allow buyers of Iranian oil to avoid the violation of the US sanctions. Like, "we do not buy Iranian oil but products from Russia and, therefore, we do not fall under the sanctions regime."
In accordance with this oil delivery scheme, Tehran will receive money from Moscow. It is planned that oil supplies from Iran to Russia will be made through the Caspian Sea. An interesting fact is that the European countries will also be included in the scheme. They will "tacitly accept the fact that Iran will continue to sell its oil to Asia," as stated in documents. It comes as no surprise, because the EU did not agree with the US position in this dispute and did not withdraw from the nuclear agreement. However, European companies were forced to leave the Iranian market for fear of retaliation by the United States. The new package of US sanctions against Iran will come into force in November. In addition to the ban on oil exports, industry, trading and dollar operations of the country’s central bank will also be subject to restrictions.
