U.S. President Barack Obama, while giving speech in the White House, has noted the strong need for new immigration reforms the other day. The major issues, which should be raised, are granting the citizenship for illegal immigrants and reinforcing security measures on the southern border with Mexico. “The system is still broken. And to truly deal with this issue, the Congress needs to act. And that moment is now,” Obama said. The president concluded that if the senators want to eliminate shortcomings of the American immigration system, there are no reasons to hamper this legislation. The reform has already received approval of the businessmen, labor unions, and religious communities. In the light of recent events several Senate Democrats and Republican Senators have introduced the bill, which is supposed to regulate the process of getting the U.S.A. citizenship by illegal immigrants already residing in the country. New York Democrat, Senator Charles Schumer is hoping that the law will be passed by the 4th of July. Top House Republican Speaker John Boehner in his interview to ABC television said that there are good chances for this immigration bill to be backed by the Republicans. So, if the parties find compromise, the reform will be singed into the law by the end of the year.
