In its publication, Xinhua cited representatives of the Chinese delegation. Commenting on the meeting in Washington, the participants noted that "the talks were candid, specific, and fruitful." Among the issues discussed, special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation on intellectual property rights and technology transfer. The Chinese delegation said that creating a market environment of fair competition goes in line with the general direction of China’s reform and opening-up, and therefore the Chinese side will actively address relevant US concerns.
